Scalp maps at the 19 electrodes of the 10-20 system, from the same recording, for reference beside the source analysis of this report: absolute and relative power, the composite connectivity index of each electrode and the connections between electrodes outside the normative range, in the six main bands. Z-scores are against the electrode norms on one scale for every map (±3); within the normative range (±1.96) a map is left blank.

Electrode Spectral Map — Displayed: Absolute Power. Resting EEG - Eyes Closed; Z-score (normative range ±1.96 SD); Session: B1-S1

Shows the selected power measure across the scalp for the selected frequency band, interpolated between electrodes into a continuous color map. Power is the strength of synchronized oscillatory activity in each rhythm; rhythms are nested and interact, and their balance reflects the local balance of excitation and inhibition (E/I). Values are Z-scores relative to the normal population; color shows the direction of the difference (↑ red/↓ blue), and values outside the normative range are dysregulated. Focal deviation suggests local dysfunction; diffuse deviation, a global state. Across sessions, Z moving toward 0 indicates normalization.

Electrode Peak Frequency. Resting EEG - Eyes Closed; the frequency with the highest power in each band, in Hz; Session: B1-S1

Shows the peak frequency at each electrode region, as a heatmap: the frequency (Hz) at which power is highest within each band. It reflects the speed of the dominant rhythm in that band. Normality cannot be assessed from raw data alone. The most clinically used value is the alpha peak (individual alpha frequency): in healthy adults it typically lies around 9–11 Hz at posterior sites and slows with age, and a slowed alpha peak is associated with cognitive slowing, TBI and neurodegeneration.

Electrode Composite Connectivity Index Map — Displayed: Lagged Coherence. Resting EEG - Eyes Closed; % of connections outside the normative range; Session: B1-S1

Shows the Composite Connectivity Index (CCI) for the selected connectivity measure across the scalp for the selected frequency band, as a color map. The CCI is the percentage of an electrode region's connections that are outside the normative range or statistically significant, out of all its possible connections: a composite of deviation from normality. Values run from 0% (no connections outside the normative range) to 100% (all of the region's connections outside it). It shows the density of dysregulation in connectivity: where on the scalp communication is most broadly disturbed. High values concentrated on a few regions suggest local dysregulation; widespread high values, a global state. Across sessions, a falling index indicates normalization.

Electrode Composite Connectivity Index Heatmap — Displayed: Lagged Coherence. Resting EEG - Eyes Closed; % of connections outside the normative range; Session: B1-S1

Shows the Composite Connectivity Index (CCI) for the selected connectivity measure at each electrode region in each frequency band, as a heatmap. The CCI is the percentage of a region's connections that are outside the normative range or statistically significant, out of all its possible connections: a composite of deviation from normality. Values run from 0% (no connections outside the normative range) to 100% (all of the region's connections outside it). It shows the density of dysregulation in connectivity: how broadly each region's communication with the other regions is disturbed. High values concentrated on a few regions suggest local dysregulation; widespread high values, a global state. Across sessions, a falling index indicates normalization.

Electrode Connectivity Map — Edge: Lagged Coherence. Resting EEG - Eyes Closed; Z-score (normative range ±1.96 SD); Session: B1-S1

Shows pairwise connectivity between electrode regions for the selected frequency band, drawn as lines between electrode positions. Connectivity is the degree to which the oscillations of two regions are coupled in a given rhythm, a marker of functional communication between them. Each line is like a road between two regions, and its value is the traffic it carries. Values are Z-scores relative to the normal population; color shows the direction of the difference (↑ red/↓ blue), and values outside the normative range are dysregulated. ↑ indicates stronger coupling than normal and ↓ weaker; for PSI, ↑/↓ shows the net flow of information is higher or lower than normal, and for phase difference, a timing shift. Deviations concentrated on one region suggest local dysregulation; widespread deviation, a global state. Across sessions, Z moving toward 0 indicates normalization.
